Climavent have completed the installation and commissioning of sixteeen SAF50 High Vacuum Welding Fume Extraction Systems at Erhama Bin Jaber Al Jalahma Shipyard facility in Qatar.

Situated on the Southern Breakwater in the port of Ras Laffan, the shipyard has been designed and built to meet the highest of modern shipbuilding standards.

The shipyard is owned by the Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat) who have established joint ventures with Keppel Offshore & Marine (NKOM) to operate the ship repair facilities and Damen Shipyards Qatar (NDSQ) to carry out the construction of LNG tankers, supply vessels, tugs and large ships. Working with Archirodon Construction, Climavent have supplied high vacuum systems for over 300 welders and a low vacuum high volume extraction system for the 24 bay training school

Climavent SAF50 High Vacuum Extraction units are manufactured in the UK and are supplied fully assembled and tested and are suitable for ambient temperatures of 50°c and 100% relative humidity
